A quem se destina a consulta de Medicina Geral e Familiar?
Documents typically required include:
Valid identification document (Citizen Card, Passport or equivalent)
Health system number (if applicable - not mandatory, but facilitates some procedures)
What documents do I need to carry out the consultation?
The consultation generally lasts 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the patient's needs and the issues addressed.
How long does the consultation take?
When scheduling an appointment, the Client receives an email confirming the appointment and a Zoom link to ensure that there is a method of communication with the doctor at the time of the appointment.
If the Client chooses to be contacted via WhatsApp or direct link, they will receive a call a few minutes before the appointment to the telephone number or email address provided.
The Client must be in a quiet and private place, so that the consultation can be carried out safely and with quality. Whenever necessary, the Client may have another person they trust with them who can help them with communication (e.g. an interpreter) or with handling the equipment (e.g. to hold the smartphone or to help with the computer). This person cannot answer or carry out the consultation for the Client.
During the consultation, the doctor will ask you some general health information, such as whether you have any allergies, your usual medications and your medical history.
The patient may present his/her complaints to the doctor, who will keep a clinical record and, whenever necessary, may suggest that the patient undergo additional tests, prescribe medication that is considered appropriate or refer the patient to another specialist.
